My 2017 Favorites!
Before I jump too much further into the year, I am taking a break from all my planning and dreaming to bring you my 2017 favorites! A quick collection of top images and moments from last year that I adore! Moments full of fun, boldness, color and meaning. 2017, you had your ups and downs but you were anything but dull.
First, my favorite. Who gets to see and capture the look on one of your dearest friends’ face the moment she realizes she is about to become a fiancé?! Ahhhh I did!! See the whole story of Jessica and Andrew’s engagement here!
This is just silly and fun and carefree and it is one of my favorite of all time. I met Bryan and Olivia at WPPI in Las Vegas in February (Its a massive photography conference). I kind of cornered them on the last day and said, “Hey, can I try a few ideas on you while the light is still great out there?”
Ask me to see Karey and Nate’s book from their styled anniversary session I had made this year. It is is aaaaaamazing. So fun and colorful and lovey and celebratory. See the full session here!
Oooooh Becca and Tallulah. This active session was one for the books. I really don’t know what more I can say except you just need to check it out for yourself!
These two were supposed to be modeling for my “What to Wear” post, but their love and smiles stole the show!
So much adoring excitement! Of course I love great images of a newborn, but honestly my favorites are of the parents. See all the darling moments here!
Nikki and Zelda’s session had so much meaning and movement and brightness. Even though it was a dark, gray day. It was perfect, and will forever be a favorite. Read the whole story here.
An absolutely radiant mama and proud daddy-to-be! I love these two, and I love their at home maternity session!
I loooooove ice cream more than I probably should. This summer I decided to try three different ice cream recipes and bring you along as we tested them! Pictured here is the first experiment, set on my mom’s hand me down serving tray. I love the shiny new mixed with old charm. See ice cream One, Two, and Three!
My dad traveled a lot growing up. So does theirs. When he was home, we liked to go on outdoor adventures. So do they! My sister and I are the same distance apart in age as these spunky girls. And we all really like S’mores. DO NOT MISS THIS ONE!! Moments like these are why I am a photographer!
Their book from there camping session is amazing. It is the best way to enjoy your images and tell the story of your times together!
I stumbled upon this amazing view on the way home from a session. Wow, we live in such a gorgeous spot. Also gorgeous, this set of prints and canvases for an adventurous, brave family!
I loved how they embraced the rainy day and went for a location that was meaningful. The risk paid off, and the session was amazing. See all the goodness here!
Last but not least, my darling Clover! She does not enjoy her picture being taken, nor does she like confetti. We all learned this the hard way. Happy or not, I was elated to celebrate her adoption day and another year with her! And these flat out make me laugh so hard!!!
