Summer Small Business Spotlight | Bridgett Antolick, LMT | Heather Hurt Photography

Bridgett is a born nurturer and she’s not messing around when it comes to helping you feel your best. She literally lights up when she explains her love for her work and the created world and how massage can make a difference for you. An empathetic listener and inquisitive communicator, she makes you feel at ease and cared for. But let’s not mistake all that for a watered down massage experience. When you need some TLC and powerful therapy, Bridgett is your girl.

I joined her in her home studio for an interview and an inside peek of her at work (don’t worry, you won’t be asked to model as her husband was. Hehe). Thank you Bridgett for spending some time sharing your passion with us and why you do what you do!

Heather: You have 30 seconds to tell a stranger about what you do… What do you say?

Bridgett: I specialize in powerful, intuitive, and therapeutic massage therapy and have been licensed and working in this field for over 11 years. My work is a combination of modalities like Swedish, Thai, Esalen, and others,  but I also use several essential oils in another modality I offer called Raindrop massage. With the aid of warm stones, the Raindrop technique helps benefits emotions, many systems of the body, and pain management. Whether you suffer from headaches, muscle tension, or just need a mood lift, I can help and have been told I have “healing hands.”

With my massage chair I work on-site in many types of environments: office, convention, special events, etc. I also have an in-home office where I offer table massage in a safe, clean and relaxing environment where the client has the choice of their music genre. I’m a listener, empathic, and pay attention to detail. My near-future goals are to pursue treatments specifically geared towards PTSD, trauma, and emotional health.

Heather: Why do you do what you do?

Bridgett: I love the world of the body and the power to help someone feel better through touch therapy. My mom was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and I wanted to go into a field that would allow me to help her (though now we are in different states!). I’ve worked in 9-5 type jobs and they were definitely NOT me. I love the flexibility and freedom of massage therapy as a profession. It also allows me to be with people without having to converse non-stop with them, so it satisfies my love of people and also my introversion!

Heather: Tell me about your favorite day on the job

Bridgett: My Favorite day on the job would be having lots of energy, adequate space in between clients to recharge, and working on people who experience positive results from my treatment. People who purchase packages because they want to come back, which means benefit for them and also provision for my family.

Heather: Would you rather visit the moon or go on an all expense paid trip anywhere on earth?

Bridgett: Ha! That’s an easy one for me. I’d rather travel the earth. I love traveling, but don’t especially relish the idea of all of the aspects of space training or going outside of my familiar atmosphere. My husband, tho, would LOVE to go to space.

Heather: Where would you go?!

Bridgett: Grasse, France (it’s the perfume capital of the world) that is one of a few favorites.

Heather: What makes you unique?

Bridgett: In the massage world, unfortunately, many therapists have the reputation of being unreliable, careless, and unethical. I’m thankful for the feedback I’ve received from clients who talk about thankful they are that, for example, the sheets are clean, or that I’m on time. It’s sad when this is an exception. Also, I think what makes me unique is that my faith in a creator infuses me with passion about the created world. I love essential oils. They make me jump up and down, and I love their effect on the mind, body, and emotions. To me that’s SO cool. I love the body and how it works, and how crazy complex it is. I love to create environments that please the senses and help others relax, feel at home, or have an experience they’ll long remember.

Heather: One year from now what do you hope today’s client will say about their experience with you?

Bridgett: I hope they will say, “I’ll always remember Bridgett as one of the most caring and loving individuals I’ve ever met. She really helped me feel better.”

Heather: Anything else you want to share with the online world?

Bridgett: Remember that not all massage therapists are the same. If you’ve had a bad experience with massage therapy, I’m so sorry. I hope you will give it another chance and that if you’re in my area, you’ll give me a try!

You really do need to meet her in person! Find her contact info here and book a massage to see for yourself!
