Be yourself. Cherish your family and friends. Throw a great party. All great advice for life, and certainly a winning combination for a wedding day! If you want to know how it’s done, talk to Chris and Megan! Seriously, these two set the bar in my books with their sentimental and classy, yet a little out-of-the ordinary celebration.
His dad was his best man, she wears her grandmother’s ring (that was designed by her grandfather, who was the only grandparent in attendance)- there were far too many beautiful meaningful moments and details to this day than I can share. Though they each just had one “official” attendant, they were surrounded by family and close friends as they prepared for the ceremony at the goooooorgeous St. Ursula Academy Chapel. After the ceremony, there was juuuuuuuust enough gorgeous light to grab some shots of them before heading to Fountain square as they wanted to include this Christmasy city landmark site into their day! It was so SO cold, and so SO fun. These two are so genuinely in love and it was special for them to get to spend some cozy time together just the two of them before heading to the reception.
For Chris and Megan to properly celebrate, they knew it meant a good time for their guests. Not only did they have dinner, drinks, sentimental toasts, and great music and dancing… but they had dinner entertainment. A juggling act in fact. You see, Chris spent many years as a performer, so some of his friends came to help him out by providing the evening’s entertainment. It. Was. Awesome. Later, to add to the celebratory carnival-like atmosphere, the brother of the groom came out on the dance floor with a GIANT homemade puppet to surprise the bride. And if that was not enough, a good friend and business partner decided to liven it up a little more by dressing up in a ….. well, you’ll just have to see! Never a dull moment, and not a single bored person in the room!
I love their love, and I love how they know their commitment to each other is something to celebrate! Thank you Chris and Megan for giving Garrett and I the best seat in the house for your one of a kind and very “you” day!
