T.J. and Alison- Portland, OR Wedding Reception
Married just a week earlier, these two could not have been any sweeter for our few minutes together before their celebration in Portland! I loved how happy and at ease they were and so totally in love! The perfect newlyweds 😉
Their moms have been close friends since childhood, so T.J. and Alison had played together as kiddos when their families visited each other as they were growing up. They reconnected a few years ago, and well… that was that! T.J. and Alison’s wedding was in California so the parents of the Groom, John and Sue, threw a beautiful party in Portland for them to celebrate their marriage with local family and friends. Immediately before the party started we took about 30 minutes to take some shots of them outside the venue. I love everything about these two!

Guests enjoyed appetizers in the foyer as they greeted the T.J. and Alison.
After dinner, Sue had prepared a slide show of pictures that included T.J. with each of the guests/families at the reception, and then weaved those in with pictures of T.J. and Alison as they were growing up when the two families would visit each other. She narrated it as the pictures played, creating a really meaningful story of T.J. and Alison by including the family and friends that had been a big part of T.J.s life. It was so sweet!!
After the first slideshow, a second one played highlighting some wedding pictures from the weekend before!
My personal favorite…
The evening ended off with a birthday cake for the new bride and Birthday Girl that night, toasts, and dessert.
Congrats again to you T.J. and Alison, and thank you Stevko family for having Garrett and I capture the celebration! We love you guys so much!
